because then I could just give it to Valkyria or Imca or Aliasse and have them solo entire maps.
Oh, but if it were a rifle then Selvaria wouldn’t be able to use it, and Selvaria x Ruhm is my OTP, so… yeah.
Rene is the BEST girl, are you kidding.
Except maybe Magari. But Rene is my second favorite.
Imca why are you so adorable
And if you thought that she couldn’t get any more pink… you REALLY don’t want to unlock her in VC3.
I think a futuristic setting (or at least a present-day setting) would be cool. Present-day might be a bit dicey on account of all the controversial wars going on (even for a fictional representation of Europe), but future would be cool.
Here’s my idea: It’s the year 2500-something, and Artificial Valkyria technology has been making significant leaps and bounds. Thanks to the research of one Dr. Eugene Foerster, the Empire has finally succeeded in mapping the Valkyria genome, and as such, the standard has now advanced to V-X or VΩ (as opposed to V2 or V0), and augmentation now consists of gene therapy that directly alters your genes to transform you into a pure-blooded Valkyria with little in the way of side-effects, as the change is on the genetic level. However, the technique is incredibly, almost prohibitively, expensive, and very few people have the monetary assets to undergo the procedure.
There is, however, one alternative method of undergoing the procedure — be selected from a pool of test subjects at an Imperial test facility. At said facility, the subjects undergo rigorous physical, mental, and emotional testing to judge their eligibility for the gene therapy. One girl, the top of her class, has just been approved for the procedure. In the middle of the operation, however, something goes horribly wrong, the result being that her Valkyrian powers are permanently active, yet leaving her unable to summon her traditional Valkyrur lance and shield. As the girl strives to find out the cause of the accident, she stumbles upon a massive conspiracy at the heart of the Empire, and discovers, along with her fellow test subjects, what it truly means to be human.
>Valkyrian Infusion system: Unable to make full use of her powers, the protagonist must use traditional weapons as mediums for her Valkyrian flame. Weapons wielded by the protagonist become more powerful, replacing bullets with the beams and gatling lasers seen wielded by the artificial Valkyrur of past games!
>Individual Valkyria gauges: As a band of artificial Valkyrur, the protagonist’s fellow test subjects can transform into full Valkyrur for limited periods of time; however, instead of the SP system seen in VC3, characters stay in their Valkyria forms until you choose to revert, with one point being consumed per turn and one point replenished at the start of each battle. As the characters level up, they gain the ability to stay transformed longer, and more points are replenished per battle. Once the main character eventually regains her full Valkyria powers, she gains the ability to stay transformed for as long as she wants, with no turn limit; however, her powers are still somewhat weaker than her fellow subjects’.
>Improved enemy strength and AI: In accordance with the protagonists possessing the ability to transform into Valkyrur, enemies have been accordingly strengthened, with such enemy types as Ghost Tanks and Batomys-class tanks, as well as improved Artificial Valkyrur, standing in your way in vastly increased numbers. Additionally, the player will occasionally encounter enemy aircraft, which require long-range weapons to attack and which can attack multiple times per turn and possess infinite AP, requiring the player to plan for being able to defeat them in one or two turns.
