After some searching on youtube, I’ve found pretty much all of the story videos for VC2! Daily Life is not as readily available, but at least I’ll be able to have some story updates for the project within a few days!
Rene is the BEST girl, are you kidding.
Except maybe Magari. But Rene is my second favorite.
And if you thought that she couldn’t get any more pink… you REALLY don’t want to unlock her in VC3.
No More Heroes meets Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 2!
Geirolul, the Class G tank, and chibi versions of the Class G tank and the Edelweiss are all included! Heavy-duty paper is recommended, though!
Unless someone can provide me with links to every single Memories skit in VC2, I may be out of luck as far as continuing Why Does Ragnite Burn Blue. See, I bought VC2 from the PSN, which means I have to be signed into the account I bought it from in order to play it. HOWEVER, I made a Japanese PSN account to buy the DLC for Valkyria Chronicles 3, and so I’m worried that if I sign out of that account and sign back into my normal (US) one, the DLC for VC3 won’t work.
Plus I may have forgotten the password for my main account. OH WELL, there are only a few things it could be, SOOOO… I guess we’ll see how it goes. No updates for a while while I figure shit out.

As with many people, the story mission with Dirk in Leanbluff Forest in March was “that one boss” for me. Looking back on it, I realize how easy it should have been, but still, I do missions at my own pace — a relatively quick and efficient one most of the time — so for the game to come along and throw a fragile, slow piece of scrap metal at me completely threw off that rhythm.
Not to mention Dirk himself. As if the cutscene immediately before the mission, where he scrapped the tank with the MASSIVE LAZOR BEAM, wasn’t intimidating enough, at the time I wasn’t familiar with my own AP usage tendencies and how the “Change Area” mechanic with escort APCs worked, so on my first time through that mission, Dirk singlehandedly scrapped a bunch of my units on the first enemy phase. In addition, the V2s themselves scared the crap out of me. I had no idea I was supposed to destroy the supply vehicles to cut off their power supply, so I spent countless hours grinding my units so I could make it past their punishing gatling lasers, which didn’t really do much anyways.
As for the actual APC, this was back before I had a firm grasp of what percentage of a unit’s AP was lost when selecting them consecutive times in a turn, so all too often the APC would end up stranded in the middle of an area, completely open to assault — one such time involved Dirk APPEARING OUT OF A BASE CAMP RIGHT NEXT TO THE APC AND ONE-SHOTTING IT WHEN I WAS MAYBE A TURN AWAY FROM THE GOAL. My experience with that mission made me stay the fuck away from any optional escort missions in future months, not counting the Final Engineer Exam DLC mission that gives the Goll g21/g22 pistol.
And THEN Valkyria Chronicles 3 came along… AND WE GOT TWO ENTIRE CHAPTERS CONSISTING OF NOTHING BUT APC ESCORT MISSIONS. GAH. I mean, sure, there wasn’t anything close to Dirk or the V2s (Gatling Soldiers can suck it), but still. IT GETS OLD.
You will forever be the bane of my existence.
I believe this is an image from the art book for Valkyria Chronicles 2 that will be released by Udon next month.
If you haven’t already ordered it great, but in case you haven’t Amazon is offering a 38% discount on the original price of the Valkyria Chronicles 2 art book.
Also check out the art book for the first Valkyria Chronicles as it is jam packed with beautiful art work and information about the development process that led to the development of Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3.
